Chamber Mission

The mission of the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the economic, civic, and cultural growth of the area, to improve the quality of life in the community, and to act as the voice of business. It makes available to all members of the business community, firms, and individuals alike, the necessary vehicle through which to combine forces for executing the continuous, year-after-year program of work necessary for positive business development.

We Staff Better, LLC

🫶We Staff Better, owned by Lori and Mike Shultz, is a staffing agency in Cambridge with 7 other locations in Ohio and West Virginia.
 
🫶We Staff Better has employees to fill open jobs from an entry level temporary laborer to a professional career! The staffing specialist will meet with employers and learn about what is needed to fill that open job/position to help you find the right employee.
Then the staffing specialists get to work on finding the right person as well as helping the new employee be prepared for their new job. The staff will make sure they have the right work attire, counsel them on how to “show up” on the first day and most important – educate the employees on working towards being hired permanently.

Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Booth Distinguished Public Service Award 

CAMBRIDGE — Michelle Carpenter-Wilkinson and Stevie Fairchild were recently recognized for their work and dedication to improve the community by the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce.

As the executive director of Heaven of Hope, Carpenter-Wilkinson received the Distinguished Public Service Award. The award is given annually to an individual who demonstrates outstanding personal contributions by ways of active service, leadership and cause.

Michelle Carpenter-Wilkinson received the Distinguished Public Service Award from Jennifer Vincent. 
 

She has worked for 28 years for Haven of Hope as an advocate for victims of crime. She is the founder and chair of essential organizations such as Marsy’s Law Task Force and the Southeastern Ohio Human Trafficking Coalition.

She is the founder and chair of essential organizations such as Marsy’s Law Task Force and the Southeastern Ohio Human Trafficking Coalition. Chamber president Jennifer Vincent said, “We thank you, Michelle, for your creative thinking of new and better ways to assist victims of crime and putting our community first.” She exemplifies what it means to serve selflessly and wholeheartedly.
